On 9th March 2023, a joint task force comprised of officers from Sidcup Police conducted 'Op Airiam' at the Darent Industrial site.
The operation targeted vehicle crime, scrap metal theft, and the theft of telecom cabling. During the operation, officers conducted a stop search of a vehicle and discovered over 80 catalytic converters.
A subsequent search of a nearby compound located 9 stolen car engines.
As a result of the operation, one male was arrested. The successful outcome of 'Op Airiam' is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our officers in tackling crime and keeping our community safe.
