Good news from SE this week

A drug users daily across the SE BCU.

 

At Court he pled guilty to PWITS Class A and was sentenced to a 5 year and 3 month custodial sentence.

 

·       Officers from the SEBCU Youth Engagement Team ran a series of workshops in partnership with London South East Colleges over the four week period. Each week a different subject matter was covered including Stop and Search , County Lines/Criminal Exploitation, Violence Against Women and Girls and Firearms and Knife Crime. This was supported by officers from the Joint Engagement Team and the MPS Firearms Command. In total officers held 41 individual workshops engaging with 526 young people. Feedback was extremely positive and more workshops will be planned in the future.

 

A huge well done to the SE Youth Engagement Team and Special thanks to PC Darren Smith and PC Semih Demirag for coordinating a series of 9 Workshops covering topics such as Personal safety, Stop and Search and Violence Against Women and Girls reaching 526 students across the London South East Colleges over a four week period

 

·       Officers from South East Violence Suppression Unit had another arrest on the evening on 20th March. A machete was seized from a male, who was also on bail for a knife offence already! He was swiftly arrested and charged and remanded to court.
