In a successful operation early this morning, Officers from the SE Violence Suppression Unit and Sidcup Safer Neighbourhood Team executed a search warrant at a premises in Erith and uncovered a "Chop shop" linked to Organised Criminal Gangs that targeted high-value motor vehicles for theft and dismantling. The premises was swiftly raided, and officers seized a stolen Rolls Royce Phantom which had been stolen just the morning before, as well as the remains of a Range Rover and other parts of vehicles connected to various stolen vehicles that had been taken across London.
Despite the OCG's attempts to disguise the stolen vehicles using radio and signal jammers and conceal them in a warehouse, the operation was a resounding success thanks to the swift action taken by the officers, who obtained a warrant out of hours and executed it immediately.
Enquiries are still ongoing, but the recovery of the stolen vehicles and dismantled parts is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our officers in tackling organised crime and keeping our communities safe.
