A fire broke out at a property on Woolwich Road in Bexleyheath, damaging part of a hairdresser on the ground floor of a care home. Around 60 firefighters and eight fire engines were called to the scene, and four people were rescued and taken to hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire was under control by 1302, and road closures were put in place. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
