In the early hours of Wednesday 22nd of February officers from Belvedere SNT (safer Neighbourhood Team) in partnership with Lewisham Tasking team carried out a drugs warrant at an address in Belvedere.
The venue has been problematic over recent months and the search resulted in a quantity of drugs being found. The resident is now under investigation for the offence.
This is an excellent example of joint working with multiple teams across South East taking part. This included the Local Intelligence Team who alerted us of the problem.
In the afternoon SNT officers were joined by Safer Transport Teams and a number of Traffic units carrying out a traffic operation on Eastern Way Thamesmead.
Research by the local SNT has shown a high number of reported accidents on this particular road.
The operation was very successful and it resulted in several fines being issued, five vehicles were seized for no insurance and the arrest of a wanted male.
Dedication from Thamesmead and Belvedere officers was clear with officers working a double shift to ensure we had a successful operation.
