Operation Orca targeting Motor Vehicle crime

Officers recently completed a 48-hour operation targeting motor vehicle related crime in South East London, in partnership with Kent Police.

Operation Orca aims to apprehend offenders linked to motor vehicle crime and those using the road network to commit serious offences.

Fantastic results from a local issue in Bexley over a two day period.

This was targeted following feedback from the local ward chairs from Welling and Falconwood, Blackfen and Lamorbey plus Blendon and Penhill. Motor Vehicle is a ward priority hence this operation being run.   


The results from this op was:-

 

  • Arrests – 7
  • Caution +3 –  2 (juveniles for theft of Moped being dealt with by Kent)
  • Stop and Searches – 18
  • Comm Resolutions – 4
  • PSPO – 5
  • LOS – 4 recovered
  • Vehicles Seized  1
