Beware about a Santander Phishing Email Scam

Santander has recently been the target of a phishing email scam. The email, which appears to be from Santander, asks customers to update their contact information in order to continue accessing their accounts. However, the email is actually a scam and should not be opened.

If you receive an email from Santander that asks you to update your contact information, do not click on any links in the email or open any attachments. Instead, go directly to Santander's website and log in to your account. If you need to update your contact information, you can do so from your account settings.

Santander will never ask for your personal information in an email. If you have any questions about a Santander email, you can contact Santander customer service at 0800 300 0000.

Here are some tips to help you avoid phishing scams:

  • Be suspicious of any email that asks for personal information, such as your password, PIN, or Social Security number.
  • Never click on links in emails from unknown senders.
  • Do not open attachments from emails from unknown senders.
  • Go directly to the website of the company being mentioned in the email to update your information.
