Police are investigating reports that an ATM at James Watt Way, Erith, may have been tampered with.
On Monday, 1 May, officers were called to the scene after reports that the machine was not returning cards when they were inserted.
Upon arrival, officers found that paper had been jammed into the card slot. There were no criminal devices attached to the machine.
The police have contacted the bank to notify them of the incident.
The public is advised to be vigilant when using ATMs and to report any suspicious activity to the police.
