St Mary’s & St James Ward Panel

Invitation to attend your local Safer Neighbourhood ward panel

Dear member of our community,

I am writing to you as the Chair of the St Mary’s and St James, Safer Neighbourhoods Ward Panel (SNP) and would like to invite you or a representative from your organisation to come to our next public meeting of the ward panel to, see and find out how this panel works for our community.

A ward panel is a group of residents, business owners, Neighbourhood Watch coordinators and other organisations who meet quarterly with the Local Police Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), Ward Councillors and other community safety partners. The panel discusses issues of crime and safety in the area and with the police representatives sets priorities for the SNT for the following 3 months, relating to any current crime and safety concerns within the area.

We are keen to broaden our membership to reflect the wide and diverse nature of the communities, businesses and groups within our London Borough of Bexley Ward. An active and representative panel is an effective way to enable local communities to understand the demands upon Bexley Police and influencing the priorities of our police SNT. Therefore, we would very much welcome your attendance and participation at this meeting, with a view to you becoming a member of the panel.

Date: Wednesday 1st March 2023

Time: 7pm

Place: Sidcup & Foots Cray United Services Club 108 Main Road Sidcup DA14 6NE

Please do contact me to discuss further how you or your organisation can contribute to the panel by emailing our co-ordinator: Julie Morrison juliemorrison2000@hotmail.com
